Marlay are put on red alert as Munster finish third in Diamond 2

The Munster squad which included Marlay’s Kelly Glander finshed third in the Diamond 2 tournament played in sunny Slough over the June Bank Holiday weekend.

The Munster squad contained a number of players who Marlay will face over the coming weeks in the Munster League and they showed why Marlay will need to bring their A game if they want to make the grand final.

Munster came out of their Saturday group with a 4-1-1 record and played H2O in the quarter-finals of the cup tournament. After comfortably beating the winners of Diamond 1, Munster came up against current reigning GB champions Chromies and lost comfortably to a very experienced team.

Munster eventually beat the Dragons is the 3^rd/4^th play-off to finish of a good weekend for the Munster team.

Though many of the Munster Squad are known to the Marlay team this was a timely reminder that there will be no easy games in Cork, Limerick or Galway.
