Marlay Enter Munster League

Marlay Softball Club today announced it had an agreement with Munster Sofball to enter a guest team in the inaugural Munster League for the 2010 Season.

Marlay Softball Club General Manager Dave Burke said: "Marlay Softball Club has established itself as one of the major softball clubs in Ireland and the Marlay Munster team fits well with the growth of our club given the passion for the game by our membership."

The team will play a number of double header weekend games in the Softball Munster League and will be hoping to field a cross divisional club team.

"Marlay Softball Club has a history of entering multiple teams in the Leinster League and this Munster team is a clear signal of our long-standing commitment to both the development of new players and to Softball Ireland. Marlay Softball Club has a strong association with the sport from the grassroots to the Irish National Squad" Mr Burke said.
