The ESF have announced the Schedule for the European Championships to be held July 7 - 10, 2010

Ireland will open their 2010 European Championships campaign with an 11am (10am Irish Time) game with Austria on July 7 at the SaBaT Praha grounds. Second game of the tournament is an evening game against tournament hosts Czech Republic at 7pm (6pm Irish Time) as the main game of the day after the opening ceremony.

The eagerly awaited game of the round robin phase of the tournament will be the 1 seed v 2 seed as Ireland will take on Great Britain on Friday July 9 in the last game of the round robin phase.

Should Ireland be in the top 4 at the end of the round robin stage they will enter the round robin stage to try and reach the final for the second tournament running. Should Irleand find themselves outside the top 4 they will compete in a page system for a 5th place finish.

Ireland are looking to improve on the silver medal won in the 2008 European Championships. The face stiff oppisition from defending champions Great Britain and host country Czech Republic. That being said Ireland would be naive to underestimate the threat posed by all teams in the tournament.
