Marlay Martyrs Ciaran Columb named in provisional squad of 24 for European Championships in Southhampton.

Irish National Squad coach John Concannon today named Ciaran Columb in his provisional squad of 24 for the 2008 European Championships in Southhampton. Over the coming weeks the squad will be preparing for the championships in July with the squad of 24 being reduced to a travelling party of 16.

Marlay Sofball Club's other two representatives in the National Squad panel, Lisa Moriarity & Colum Lavery, unfortunately did not make the European Championship provisional squad and will now focus on the 2008 World series to be held in London in September.

The whole club wishes Ciaran the best of luck in making the travelling 16.
