The draw for the 1st round of the Brian Walshe Cup, the all Ireland knockout competition, was made in The Pines after Tuesday night's Premier Division league games.
Our Premier Division side, Marlay Martyrs, were drawn to face Renegades Black from Division 2 on Wednesday 5th. The Marlay Braves (Division 3) were drawn away to Premier Division opposition in the form of the Castleknock Bearcats on Tuesday 4th. The Bearcats have already turned a few heads in the opening weeks of the Premier Division, having won Division 1 in 2009. Meanwhile Shutout 7 Marlay await confirmation of when Belfast Softball Club are available to travel to Dublin to complete their 1st round tie.
