The Braves beat the Homers 23-18 in a closely fought, high scoring game on Monday night to open their season with a good win.
The team batted extremely well, reflected in the high score, with Chris Cowley firing in two home runs. The game was closely fought until the 5th Inning, where the braves scored an impressive 10 runs. Our fielding was a little haphazard at times – a combination of first night nerves and inexperience – but things improved as the game progressed and our new members got the hang of things. A strong start, with good performances across the team, particularly from our newbies. - Kevin Haig |
