Marlay Shutout 7 to play Sluggers in Prem playoff

After 14 games in what has turned out to be the most competitive Divison 1 in a number of years, Marlay Shutout 7 have finished 2nd after a 4 way tie. Marlay Shutout 7 finished with 52 points but finished above Flyers, Usual Suspects and the Base Devils on a better head - to - head between the four teams.

Marlay Shutout 7 will now play Sluggers on Saturday September 12, 2009 in the ALSAA Complex in promotion / relegation playoff to decided the eight and final team in Premier Division in 2009. Success for Marlay Shutout 7 would see them join Marlay Martyrs in the top level of Irish Softball and it will be the first time since 2003 that two Marlay teams have been in the top division.
